Pediatric Optometry
Dr. Hickson joined Associated Eye Care in 2003. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University, College of Optometry. She completed a pediatric fellowship and obtained a master’s degree in vision science at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. In the past few years, Dr. Hickson has been involved in research concerning both preschool and school age vision disorders. Since joining Associated Eye Care, she has focused on pediatric care. Dr. Hickson is currently a member of the Minnesota and American Optometric Associations, the Minnesota Optometric Association’s Children Committee, and she is a candidate fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Hickson enjoys teaching fourth year optometry students that rotate through the clinic. She has lectured at various meetings and participates in community activities.
Dr. Hickson and her husband enjoy spending time with their two boys, participating in community services, and flying small airplanes.
